While my academic background is in environmental chemistry and climate science, I have always been genuinely curious about many other research fields, including energy, infrastructure, transport and environmental policy. I brought these interests together in an outreach project called The Atlas.
The Atlas is an Italian-language Instagram page where, between 2020 and 2025, I published weekly posts and reels on climate change and related topics, often through in-depth analyses connecting science, society and current affairs.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- carbon capture and storage;
- geoengeneering
- climate tipping points
- the challenge of lithium batteries
- atmospheric pollution.
The project was suspended in 2025, mainly due to time constraints, as it was carried out alongside my professional activities and mostly in my free time. Nevertheless, I hope to resume it in the future.
Podcast
When I was a child, I used to play in front of the radio pretending to be a broadcaster. I introduced songs, created imaginary schedules for the programme I had in mind, and had a lot of fun. Speaking in front of a microphone has always felt natural to me.
The dream of having my own programme came true in 2025, when I started publishing Climax – Storie da un Pianeta più caldo on Spotify, in Italian. I published 20 episodes, each approximately 20 minutes long. Some episodes focused on a specific topic, while others featured interviews with external guests.
As with The Atlas, I have temporarily put this activity on hold, but I hope to resume it in the near future.
